STOP CANCER -- Scientists Discover New Tool To Fight Cancer

According to the US medical journal Science Translational Medicine, Swedish scientists have discovered a new tool to fight cancer. Small molecules that specifically restrain a selenium-containing enzyme in the human body may become a tool to fight cancer, a new study by Swedish scientists has said.
The researchers effectively treated over 60 different types of cancer cells under laboratory conditions with these molecules. The study published in the US medical journal Science Translational Medicine on Wednesday said researchers at Karolinska Institute in Sweden treated cancer in mice with these molecules and observed rapid tumor-killing effects.
They have expressed hope that this new principle could be extended to treat cancer in humans, Xinhua news agency reported. Selenium is a chemical element that is an essential micronutrient. A selenium-containing enzyme, called TrxR1, can be used to support the growth of various cells and protect them from oxidative stress.
Oxidative stress is the imbalance between the production of free radicals, which are highly reactive with other molecules, and the body’s ability to counteract or to repair the resulting damage.

However, in several forms of cancer, raised levels of TrxR1 could be detected. Researchers analysed almost 400,000 different molecules to find new ones that would more specifically control TrxR1 and found three different types which proved to be active as anti-cancer medicines.

“This effectiveness against cancer may be a result of cancer cells’ seemingly greater sensitivity to oxidative stress when compared to normal cells, which in turn can be utilised in cancer therapy,” Elias Arner, a professor at the Karolinska Institute, who led the study, said. “This seems to work in mouse models and we are therefore hopeful that this principle for treatment can be developed for humans, even if this will require many years of further research,” he added.

Step by Step How To Prepare Coconut Oil At Home (With Recipe)

Coconut oil, or copra oil, is an edible oil extracted from the kernel or meat of mature coconuts harvested from the coconut palm. It has various applications.

With the numerous health benefits and uncountable uses of coconut oil, you should be making your own Coconut Oil at home.

What you will need:

A blender for blending the coconuts. My blender has 850W power and it can blend pieces of coconut very well. I have also used a 600W blender in the past with great results. You can also grind it in the market but make sure they clean their machine very well before using it to blend the coconut for you.
Chopping board for cutting the coconut flesh/meat.

A blunt object for breaking the coconut: a hammer or small axe will do.

Original stainless steel pot for cooking the coconut till the oil seeps out. Do not use non-stick or coated pots for this because during cooking, the coconut oil will get to high temperatures.

Bowls.

Sieves.

Hot water mixed to a comfortable temperature. Keep it as hot as you can comfortably handle with your bare hands. Extracting coconut milk with moderately hot water gives you more coconut oil than when you extract with warm or lukewarm water. Don’t even use cool water.

Directions for making Coconut Oil

If you can, it is better to watch the video below for the procedure.
image: http://www.allnigerianrecipes.com/bimages/coconut-oil-how-to.jpg
coconut oil

Break the coconuts with a heavy blunt object.
When done, pry out the coconut meat from the coconut shell with a knife. Once the coconut is mature, the coconut meat should come out of the shell easily.

Rinse the pieces of coconut thoroughly and cut them into small pieces to help your blender.

For best results, we need to blend the coconuts with warm water. So boil some water and mix with cool water to get warm water.

Grind the pieces of coconut with the diluted hot water till smooth. Depending on the quantity you are making, you may need to grind in batches.

Pour in a sieve to separate the coconut milk from the chaff. Then press with your hands to squeeze out the last drop.

Grind the chaff a second time to get more coconut milk.

Use a sieve with a finer mesh to remove the tiniest particles from the coconut milk.

When done, cover the bowl of coconut milk and keep it in the fridge overnight.

The next morning, you will see that the coconut oil has separated from the water and caked beautifully on top like a frozen lake. Yours did not cake? Click here to watch how I sort that out.

Take the caked white coconut oil and place in a clean dry stainless steel pot. The water remaining in the bowl still has some coconut taste and can be used to boil White Rice, prepare Jollof Coconut Rice, White Coconut Rice and any other recipe that calls for coconut milk.

Cover the pot and start cooking on low to medium heat. If you notice any smoke at any time as you cook, reduce the heat to very low.

Keep an eye on the pot and stir from time to time. Cook till you notice some charred coconut bits in the oil. I cooked the one in the video below for 1 hour 15 minutes.

Set the pot aside so the coconut oil can cool down to a comfortable temperature.

Sieve with a chiffon cloth or a cheese cloth to remove the charred bits. If you still notice any charred bits in the sieved coconut oil, sieve again with a paper towel. Store in your cupboard and use when you wish.

That’s it! Use coconut oil for cooking, for your hair and body. Google for other uses of coconut oil.
Frequently Asked Questions about making Coconut Oil

I did not get a slab after putting it in the fridge overnight, what am I doing wrong? I learnt that this may be because of the tap water in your area, too much chlorine amongst other things. Try blending the coconuts with bottled water and see if it works. Also, click here for how to separate the white part from the water when it does not cake.

I do not have a fridge, can I still make this? Yes you can.

10easy steps to kick out the bad habits of procrastination. See what makes you procrastinates

How to Kick out the habits of Procrastination.

Procrastination is the action of delaying or postponing something that needs to be done. The act or habit of procrastinating, or putting off or delaying, especially something requiring immediate attention it is simply the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished.

Procrastination (from latin's "procrastinare", that translates in to : the prefix pro-, 'forward', and suffix -crastinus, 'till next day' from cras, 'tomorrow') is the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished. Sometimes, procrastination takes place until the "last minute" before a deadline.

Twenty percent of people identify themselves as chronic procrastinators. For them procrastination is a lifestyle. And this cuts across all domains of their life. They don't do things in time, they dont perform well academically, they pospone career, they miss alot of opportunities in life.
Procrastinators tell lies to themselves. Such as, "I'll feel more like doing this tomorrow." Or "I work best under pressure." But in fact they do not get the urge the next day or work best under pressure. In addition, they protect their sense of self by saying "this isn't important." Another big lie procrastinators indulge is that time pressure makes them more creative.

Three basic types of procrastinators:
a: AROUSAL PROCRASTINATORS; types orr thrill-seekers, who wait to the last minute for the euphoric rush.
b: AVOIDERS PROCASTINATORS; types who may be avoiding fear of failure or even fear of success, but in either case are very concerned with what others think of them; they would rather have others think they lack effort than ability.
c: DECISIONAL PROCRASTINATORS; who cannot make a decision. Not making a decision absolves procrastinators of responsibility for the outcome of events.

CAUSES OF PROCRASTINATION

The following arebthe Main Causes Of Procrastination;
(i) A Fear of Failure
(ii) Excessive perfectionism
(iii) Low Energy Levels
(iv) A Lack of Focus or less focus on the gains of the future and more on the gains of the present.
(V) Depression or anxiety (or other conditions)

There are a couple of tricks your brain into doing something it doesn’t really want to do.

Here are some Tricks and Strategies to Kick Out Procrastination and be free.

[1]. Block Out Distractions
Distraction and procrastination are intertwined. It's rare to find one without some trace of the other.
When we procrastinate, we're often simply succumbing to the distractions around us, putting off work in order to feel good now.

The distractions that are consuming your work life are most likely caused by you. Do everything you can to get rid of these distractions and focus on your work. You will quickly see how battling procrastination will positively impact your life. Examples of these distractions are;
#incoming emails
#overheard phone conversation
#listening to music
#watching movies
#New ideas
#Always saying yes
#Internet
#And most important one Social Media.
Nowadays, Social Media is the biggest distractors of all kind, Just one minute. That’s all you said. I’ll check Facebook for a minute. How has an hour gone by?

It’s a consistent stream of new content that never ends. It doesn’t matter when you log onto Facebook or scroll through Twitter. There’s always something new that grabs you away from your work.
Put your best to block and get rid of any of these distractions that is your own, off the internet if needed to.

To avoid this, use software like Rescuetime, StayFocusd or Freedom to block distracting websites, or block the internet out altogether. Not having to deal with the temptation of constant distractions will not only make it less likely that you’ll succumb to momentary temptation, but it will actually give you more energy to focus on your work and avoid procrastinating when you’re tired.

[2]. Clearly Define Tasks before you

Tasks that aren’t clearly defined are ambiguous and often unstructured, which makes you a lot more likely to procrastinate with them. The cure? Form implementation intentions for those tasks.

That’s basically just a fancy way of saying that you should make your tasks more concrete, by thinking about when, where, and how you’re going to do them. Tim is a big fan of implementation intentions. “I have to make sure that I’m not lying to myself right off the top with making a broad goal intention. ‘Yeah, I’ll do that writing on the weekend.’ Well, both the timeframe and the task are defined too broadly to be meaningful at all.

“So, one of the very first things is start making a more concrete and start tying it to something in the environment. And so, these are called implementation intentions. Move from broad goal intentions to specific implementation intentions. So that’s a cognitive technique, where you’re going to do some thinking around: “What am I going to do when?” And that pre-decision is really important.”

[3]. Focus on your purpose

If you’re struggling with a lack of motivation, don’t just sit there staring at your canvas, waiting for inspiration to strike. Try thinking about what motivated you to start painting (or whatever you do) in the first place. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the details of what you’re doing, and forget why you started doing it to begin with. Often, taking a step back and thinking about your higher purpose can help to inspire you into action. Do you want your work to evoke the beauty of nature? Do you paint to inspire people yourself? Is your main aim to entertain or educate? Thinking about your mission or purpose in this way may rekindle your motivation and help you take action. If you’re still feeling uninspired after that.

[4]. SPEED UP WORK

Procrastination isn’t limited to not doing tasks. It can also be found when doing work.
Such as; when A simple taask is taking forever.

Finding ways to get things done quicker will help you to build up a head of steam and keep the momentum going.

[5]. Intentionally leaving the comfort zone

The main source of rationalization and excuses of procrastination is your comfort zone. It’s what stops you from working harder and fulfilling your dreams. That’s why you have to leave that comfort zone and get to work.
But the truth is, you have to feel comfortable to embrace discomfort. It sounds crazy, but it’s true.
Let me repeat: In order to leave the comfort zone, you have to feel comfortable, otherwise you will be too afraid of the leap in the dark.
That’s why you have to be prepared for discomfort, and the only way prepare is to get as comfortable in other areas of life as possible.
One of the ways to do this is to schedule the time when you can procrastinate:

[6]. Don't wait for perfect condition

Don’t wait for conditions to be perfect to get started. Trust that you have everything that you need to get going on the task, and that you will discover any additional resources that you need once you get started.
Accept that it will never be perfect by “satisficing.” When you satisfice, you aim for satisfactorily sufficient results and nothing more.
Keep in mind that you have to start somewhere. Many ridiculously successful ventures have had humble beginnings, and your project is no different. Keep the directive of Make. Do. in mind. You can always iterate upon your creation later, but get it out the door — don’t wait until it’s flawless. By then, it may be too late.

[7]. Make the Consequences of Procrastination More Immediate

There are many ways to force you to pay the costs of procrastination sooner rather than later. For example, if you are exercising alone, skipping your workout next week won’t impact your life much at all. Your health won’t deteriorate immediately because you missed that one workout. The cost of procrastinating on exercise only becomes painful after weeks and months of lazy behavior. However, if you commit to working out with a friend at 7 a.m. next Monday, then the cost of skipping your workout becomes more immediate. Miss this one workout and you look like a jerk.
Another common strategy is to use a service like Stickk to place a bet. If you don't do what you say you'll do, then the money goes to a charity you hate. The idea here is to put some skin in the game and create a new consequence that happens if you don't do the behavior right now.

[8]. Fight resistance.

It's time to take the leap and tackle the task you’ve been putting off. When you do, you’ll likely meet resistance in the form of excuses, bad moods, and discouragement. Shiver to express the fear. Say to yourself, “I’ll feel better when I handle this.” Repeat it like a mantra until the urge to procrastinate passes.

[9]. Set your Intention

As you start an activity, like opening your email or starting to write something, or even opening your computer or starting your day, pause to think about what your intention is with that activity. Make an intention to be mindful and notice your procrastination. Setting intentions doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll actually achieve what you set out to do, but it helps. And it helps you to learn to get better at that with practice.

[10]. Release the emotion.

Fear, anger, and sadness are just pure sensations in the bodies that get stuck. If they’re not expressed constructively and physically, they build up inside us like a pressure cooker. In a private setting, do exaggerated shivering to get rid of fear; punch a pillow or stomp around to release anger; or watch a movie that makes you cry to get rid of sadness. It may sound silly, but it works.

“The two rules of procrastination: 1) Do it today. 2) Tomorrow will be today tomorrow.”

Do you know there is different between ADVOCAD and PEAR fruit. See details about Advocad and Pear.

Although avocado and pear are both fruits, they are completely different crops. Like all other crops, the common or English names ‘avocado’ and ‘pear’ technically refer to the fruits; the plants that bear them are precisely referred to by their botanical names.

Avocado has a high fatty acid content but contains extremely low levels of cholesterol. Many people tend to stop eating avocado due to its high calorie content, thinking that it may add to their weight. However, the amount of calories is very small when compared to butter, and other high calorie dietary items.

Similar to many other things or concepts, different organisms do have the same names. Also, one organism may have different names (a good example is puma which is in the Guinness Book of World Records for having 40 names in English language alone). Furthermore, the same organism may have different common names in the different ‘Englishes’ [e.g., maize in British English (BrE) is termed corn in American English (AmE)]. In some cases too, the same name is spelt differently (e.g., soya bean in BrE and soybean in AmE). The result is that English or common names can rarely be relied upon to identify organisms.

Avocados are also known as Alligator Pears, which is mainly due to its shape and the leathery appearance of its skin. It is a fruit that is grown on Persea Americana, which is an evergreen tree from the Lauraceae family. Although it doesn’t resemble these relatives, avocados are closely related to cinnamon and bay laurel. It is usually tall and can grow up to a height of 65 feet. The approximate weight of avocados is between eight ounces and three pounds, depending on the variety of avocado. It is harvested early and then allowed to ripen gradually when it is sold commercially. This is why avocados are called climacteric fruits, which only ripen after harvesting, just like bananas.

To identify each organism uniquely, biologists invented the binomial nomenclature via which every organism is given a distinct two-part name based on Latin grammar. These two-part names are termed scientific names; scientific names given to plants are called botanical names. No two organisms share the same scientific name.

From the above, the first evidence that avocado is dissimilar from pear is reflected in their botanical names. Avocado is known as Persea americana, but pear is termed Pyrus communis. Furthering up the hierarchy (pronounced as ‘hairaaki’) of classification, avocado is in the Lauraceae family but pear is in the Rosaceae family. Therefore, these two crops are completely different. The question remains as to why they share the name ‘pear’ in common.

Avocado and pear both got the word ‘pear’ in common only because of similarity in shape of the fruits. In English, any object with a teardrop shape is described as being pear shaped, for example, the human heart. As seen in our local markets, the similarity in shape of many varieties of avocado fruits with those of pear resulted in the word ‘pear’ being attached to name ‘avocado’ making the name needlessly wordy as ‘avocado pear’. Simply google the two terms and check the images for yourself.

Unfortunately, many people rather dropped the correct name ‘avocado’ and replaced it wholly with ‘pear’ when they are referring to avocado, the fruit you love to eat with bread. This error is particularly common in natural science textbooks for lower primary. At that learning stage, our pupils are generationally infected with this misnomer. Academically, the name ‘avocado’ is often enough or is better unless one has a genuine reason to be wordy.

Shape contributing to naming of crops is not limited to avocado. An extreme example is cocoa (Family: Malvaceae) whose seeds are named ‘cocoa beans’ simply because they are kidney-shaped like true beans. Remember that beans are seeds produced by only plants in the legume family, Fabaceae or Leguminosae.

Other differences still exist between avocado and pear. One of such differences is the geographical area in which the crops are found. Avocado is a tropical crop, growing in the tropics—areas between Tropic of Cancer (Latitude 23½o N) and Tropic of Capricorn (Latitude 23½o S). Thus, avocado grows abundantly in the forest regions of Ghana. In particular, it volunteers (self-establishes) in cocoa farms.

Pear, on the other hand, is a temperate crop, growing in areas between Tropic of Cancer and Arctic Circle (Latitude 66½o N). And like apple, pear is typically an exotic fruit that is only imported to Ghana for consumption. It can never be grown in Ghana, a tropical country.

The other difference is the fruit type. Avocado is a true fruit botanically termed a berry. It is one of the few berries that are one-seeded. Having a large and thick seed, avocado is wrongly considered a drupe. To confirm that avocado is not a drupe, compare it with a mango which is a true drupe. You’ll realise that a mango seed is surrounded by a hard shell called endocarp. The presence of a thick endocarp is the feature common to all drupes such as oil palm, coconut and almond. However, the ‘shell’ surrounding an avocado seed is thin and papery. The papery ‘shell’ confirms that avocado is not a drupe.

Conversely, pear is a false fruit botanically termed a pome. It is just similar to apple (Malus domestica), also a pome, except the difference in shape. Pear is also more expensive than apple. Many of the salespersons at groceries (shops where fruits and vegetables are sold) rather misname pear as sweet apple because it is sweeter than apple. In simple terms, use only the name ‘avocado’ when referring to the fruit commonly eaten with bread, rice and/or gari and beans. Reserve the name ‘pear’ for describing the seasonally available exotic fruits borne by Pyrus spp.

Adding to the avocado pear and pear problem is garden egg and eggplant (also called aubergine in BrE). Though being closely related, garden egg is different from eggplant. As usual, the first difference is seen in their botanical names. Garden egg is botanically called Solanum aethiopicum but eggplant, correctly written as one word, is botanically termed Solanum melongena. Reportedly, the Ga people call garden egg ‘S?B?’ and the Akans call it ‘nyaadewa’. On the other hand, the Gas call eggplant ‘atrokpo’.

Unlike Avocado and pear, garden egg and eggplant are both in the same genus (pronounced as ‘jiinus’), Solanum, and family, Solanaceae. Both are also tropical crops. However, garden eggs are usually smaller fruits whilst eggplant or aubergine are bigger fruits some of which are light pink in colour.

Therefore, never conclude that any two organisms including humans with a name in common are the same. This write-up is part of the Generational Errors Series. If you appreciate this article, thank a teacher.

Key to Happy marriage and relationship, 5 STEPS TO PREVENT CHEATING HABITS IN YOUR MARRIAGE/RELATIONSHIP

7 THINGS TO DO TO PREVENT HABIT OF CHEATING IN YOUR MARRIAGE/RELATIONSHIP

As cheating in marriage is becoming rampant this is one of the causes of divorce in marriage/relationship this days.
Fact about Marriage: "A successful marriage is an edifice that must be rebuilt every day."
Cheating can sometimes be a way to end an unhealthy relationship, or gain clarity about what is truly fulfilling and to prevent divorce.
Cheating in a relationship is destructive, it’s destroying your soul, killing your spirit, and at the same time ruining your relationship with your spouse or partner.

STEP BY STEP THINGS TO DO TO PREVENT CHEATING IN YOUR MARRIAGE/RELATIONSHIP
[1] Be your own person. One must understand the importance of we, but also remember there will always be a you and I. It’s so easy to the think of yourselves as one person once you get married or start dating. But you always have to remember that you’re both completely separate individuals in that, as close and as similar you are, you will have differences in opinion and taste.”
[2]  Build a strong foundation of friendship.
“You have to be friends. Your husband or wife should be someone that you’d want to hang out with. Of course you have to have the sexual aspect but that’s not enough to sustain a relationship. You’re going to go through hard times and you need someone who you want to spend your time with.”

[3] Get a confession
While confrontation may lead to this step, you've got to be assertive that you ask them clearly whatever is on your mind, so you know the real deal. For instance, if you have a partner who is cheating on you by being just physical with someone, ask them why they did the same. Nonetheless, if your partner were both emotionally and physically available to someone else, that could be a red alert that your relationship has slipped out of your hand for good, and restoring it could take more effort and time.

[4] Give enough Freedom
While too much independence the kind that leads to infidelity or workaholism is a marriage breaker, too much dependence isn't the answer either. "Every good marriage is based on an awful lot of separation," Nock says. "People need to have a separate life and existence to feel validated as individuals. They can't live solely as somebody's partner."

[5]. Avoid consistency with opposite sex conversations
If your conversations are developing a theme, favorite topic or inside jokes (especially those you dont share with your spouse), then your communication is becoming more intimate and likely to fulfill needs your spouse should fill. Intimacy always begins with communication and increases with familiarity and comfort in communication.

[6] Show commitment to your spouse daily
Doing special things for your spouse reminds you of what they mean to you. Leave a sweet note. Call them and connect throughout your day. Make a date to take them somewhere. Think of new things to do together. Focus on the special things your spouse does for you instead of the little things others do to tempt you to cheat. Checking in with your spouse while youre with other people demonstrates that you value your marriage.

[7] Be honest.

“Be honest about shit that pisses you off, don’t sweat the small stuff, and have good sex.”

Amazing Nutrition and Health benefits of Cucumber Fruits and seed || Natural treatment.

Like watermelon, cucumbers are made up of mostly (95 percent) water, which means eating them on a hot summer day can help you stay hydrated.

The flesh of cucumbers is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, and folic acid while the hard skin of cucumbers is rich in fiber and a range of minerals include magnesium, molybdenum, and potassium. Additionally, cucumber contains silica, a trace mineral that contributes greatly to strengthening our connective tissues. Cucumbers are known to heal many skin problems, under eye swelling and sunburn

The fruit is refrigerant, haemostatic, tonic and useful in hyperdipsia, thermoplegia etc. The seeds also have a cooling effect on the body and they are used to prevent constipation. Several bioactive compounds have been isolated from cucumber including cucurbitacins, cucumegastigmanes I and II, cucumerin A and B, vitexin, orientin, isoscoparin 2″-O-(6‴-(E)-p-coumaroyl) glucoside, apigenin 7-O-(6″-O-p-coumaroylglucoside) etc.

There are many ways you can enjoy cucumbers: raw in salads as a side with your meals, fermented as a pickle, or in vegetable juices
The following are the healths benefits of eating Cucumber;

1. Help you stay hydrated

Cucumbers are 95.2 percent water, which means that a 5-ounce serving contains 4.8 ounces or 150 ml water. That’s already about 26 percent of your daily water intake through food.

2. Support heart health

Cucumbers contain potassium (152mg per cup), which can help lower blood pressure. A review of the best studies conducted on potassium intake showed that a higher intake “is associated with lower rates of stroke and might also reduce the risk of total cardiovascular disease.”

As less than 2 percent of U.S. adults consume the recommended 4,700 mg potassium per day, eating cucumbers is an easy way to start increasing your potassium consumption.

3. Protect your brain from neurological diseases

An anti-inflammatory substance called fisetin is present in cucumbers, as well as strawberries and grapes.

It has recently been suggested that fisetin plays an important role in brain health: It would have “the ability to reduce the impact of age-related neurological diseases on brain function,” and it would also help maintain cognitive function in people with Alzheimer’s disease.

4. Protect your skin against the effects of aging

There is a reason why cucumbers are used in skin care: They have been shown to be effective as a potential anti-wrinkle agent in cosmetic products, protecting our skin form the effects of aging.

5. Fight inflammation in the body and reduce the risk of cancer

Cucumbers can help lower the inflammatory response in the body. They contain polyphenols called lignans, which can potentially reduce the risk of certain cancers and cardiovascular diseases.

They also contain plant nutrients called cucurbitacins, which have anti-cancer properties: “Scientists have already determined that several different signaling pathways required for cancer cell development and survival can be blocked by activity of cucurbitacins.”

6. Relieve of pain

Flavonoids, which are anti-inflammatory substances, and tannins in cucumbers have both been shown to limit the release of free radicals in the body and to reduce pain.

As explained in the Journal of Young Pharmacists, “traditionally, this plant is used for headaches; the seeds are cooling and diuretic, the fruit juice is used as a nutritive and as a demulcent in anti-acne lotions.”

7. Reduce bad breath

Bad breath is usually caused by bacteria in the mouth. Fiber and water-rich vegetables like cucumbers can boost your mouth’s saliva production, which in turn helps wash away the bacteria that cause the odor in the mouth.

8. Protect your bones

Cucumber are a good source of vitamin K: One cup contains 22 percent of the recommended daily intake of vitamin K. This vitamin is essential for bone health, as low vitamin K intakes have been associated with a higher risk for bone fracture. Vitamin K is also important for improving calcium absorption in the bones.

9. Prevent constipation

Cucumbers are rich in water, and their skin contains insoluble fiber. Both water and fiber help food to move through the digestive tract quicker and more easily, helping prevent constipation.

10. Maintain a healthy weight

Cucumbers are very low in calories (16 calories per cup) and they also contain fiber in the skin. And foods that contain fiber can help maintain a healthy weight.

How to get rid of Mouth Odor (Halitosis) completely | 12 Easy natural ways to Get Rid of Bad Mouth Odor.

Mouth odor (Halitosis ) the most humiliating condition.

What can be more embarrassing as being unable to speak out in the midst of friends and families?
It is a shameful experience to have your spouse decline your attempt for a kiss.
More than 80 million people suffer from chronic halitosis or bad breath. In most cases it is the gum and tongue. Bacteria that cause odor of waste in the mouth, deterioration of food particles and other waste of good oral hygiene.

 WHAT IS HALITOSIS (MOUTH ODOR)?
Halitosis is simply refers to as Mouth Odor or Bad breath or Bad Mouth Odor, Bad mouth odor is medically called halitosis, is usually caused by the breakdown of food. Other culprits include poor dental hygiene, dry mouth, disease, infection, tobacco use and severe dieting.
Halitosis is the third most common reason that people seek dental care (after tooth decay and gum disease).

We must be very watchful of what we eat and the times we do; most people eat raw onions and locust beans often because of its health benefit, but are we aware it triggers halitosis? Often times we find ourselves eating suya with all sorts of fresh ingredients and don't even bother to take care of our teeth and mouth before sleeping.
Meat and fish leave some particles of proteins in the gums and in between teeth daily, which are being fed upon by anaerobic, sulfur- producing bacteria. The tongue and gums can produce unpleasant smelling gases and can lead to tooth decay.

CAUSES OF MOUTH ODOR (HALITOSIS)

(a) POOR DENTAL HYGIENE: The most common cause of bad breath is poor dental hygiene. As bacteria break down particles of food, sulfur compounds are produced that cause odor.
Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. Bacteria cause the formation of toxins to form, which irritate the gums. If gum disease continues untreated, it can damage the gums and jawbone.

(b) CHRONIC DRY MOUTH: Problems from the salivary gland and Chronic dry mouth can also cause mouth odor.

WHY DOES HALITOSIS HAPPEN.
Brushing, flossing and mouthwash will only mask the odor temporarily; odors continue until the body eliminates the food. Dieters can develop unpleasant breath from infrequent eating. Bad breath can also be caused by dry mouth (known as xerostomia), which occurs when the flow of saliva decreases.

EASY WAYS TO GET RID OF MOUTH ODOR  (HALITOSIS)

[1]  Lemons:
Lemons like most citrus fruits are acidic. They prevent the growth of most bacteria. To get rid of mouth odour, add a teaspoon of lemon to a cup of water. Add a pinch of salt. Gargle this mixture before bed daily.

[2]  Apple Cider Vinegar:
Apple cider vinegar has antiseptic properties. To get rid of bad breath, mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with a cup of water and drink

[3]  Drink water: Keep your mouth moist by drinking plenty of water.
Clean your dentures at least once a day: Practice the same, proper oral
care that you would with your original teeth.
[4]  Tea:
Drink green and black teas: They contain polyphenols that help eliminate sulfur compounds and reduce oral bacteria.

[5]  Eat foods rich in fiber:
High fiber foods help prevent halitosis. Avoid eating heavily processed foods that contain refined carbohydrates such as cookies, cakes, sweets and ice cream.

[6] Use mouthwash:
Some mouthwashes or oral rinses are effective at preventing bad breath. However, you should never use alcohol based mouthwashes because the alcohol makes the mouth very dry, which will actually make the problem worse.

[7] Avoid drying medication:
Try not to take antidepressants, diuretics, pain relievers, and antihistamines unless it is absolutely medically necessary. These drugs inhibit saliva flow and can cause chronic dry mouth.

[8] Avoid products with sodium lauryl sulfate or alcohol:
Do not use any oral hygiene products that contain sodium lauryl sulfate or alcohol because the alcohol makes the mouth very dry, one of the most common causes of bad breath.
Clean your mouth after eating meat, fish or dairy products: Practicing consistent and thorough oral hygiene is an effective prevention tool.
[9] Stop smoking:
Studies have shown that smokers are at higher risk of developing periodontal disease and dry mouth. Furthermore, people who smoke may also engage in other habits that promote this condition such as dieting, drinking alcohol, and suffering from chronic anxiety conditions that require exacerbating prescription medications.

[10] Breathe through your nose instead of your mouth:
Try to address any snoring or sleep apnea issues that could be affecting
your breath and causing dry mouth.

[11] Baking Soda:
Baking soda is the “baba nla” of DIY hacks everywhere. You can use it to white your teeth, remove bad breath and even to bake. For mouth odour, mix a teaspoon of baking soda in warm water. Gargle this mixture twice a day for maximum effect.

[12] Eliminate dairy products from your diet: Lactose intolerance can be an underlying cause of halitosis.
Use an oral probiotic like S. salivarius K12 and M18: Use probiotics to balance the oral cavity and prevent an overgrowth of the odor-causing bacteria involved in halitosis.

THE IMPACT OF POOR SLEEP ON OUR ABILITY TO LEARN.

As we all know that a good night's sleep is the key to our happiness and productivity.
On the contrary, the night insomnia negatively affected the results of our day. But the new study could only learn new skills in the area of the brain, showing how it will affect the quality of sleep is poor.
A team of researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Friday) in Zurich, Switzerland, to study the effects of drugs on sleep and the brain's ability to learn new things.

Especially in the new study - published in the journal Nature Communications - the brain's ability to change and adapt to stimuli received from the environment or changes in the nerves, it affects the motor cortex and deep sleep.

Motor cortex region of the brain is to develop motor skills and control, step deep sleep --mara as weekend sleep quickly - is key to memory formation and processing, and support for a day when brain remodeling work.

How does poor sleep affect our ability to Learn?

Sleep deprivation affects the ability to remember, Poor Sleep Affects the Ability to Learn.
It felt good after a good night's sleep and is relaxed and ready to deal with the day before problems. Conversely, a bad dream at night left us behind and a negative impact on results. The new study, published in the journal Nature, in the field of brain communication involved in learning and how learning can be affected by lack of sleep.
Researchers, the ability to modify cortical response and coefficient of expansion of the road environment, have been tested, and how it affects the deep sleep that is.

The study six weeks ago, and some problems overnight after going to bed at night without discomfort, and after the quality of the researcher to die in their sleep. In addition, the researchers assessed the participants able to learn something new.

A high rate of return, which was written in the morning, some of the mistakes of survey participants today before the pattern of researchers expected. However, after a quiet night sleep and poor performance studio at the end of the day.
According to the researchers, participants in the study had to sleep in the morning after a bad night's night when you slept well at night. Without deep sleep, not enough synapses of nerve cells is "broken", with the ability to get people to understand the causes of the brain.

Manipulation of the Motor cortex during deep sleep.

The study involved six women and seven men who were asked to perform motor tasks during the day, after a night of undisturbed sleep, and after a night when deep sleep was disturbed.

The tasks involved in learning a series of finger movements, and the researchers were able to pinpoint the brain area responsible for the movement of learning.
Using electroencephalogram, the researchers monitored the participants' brain activity while they slept.

On the first day of the experiment - after the first session of the movement study - the participants were able to sleep undisturbed.

However, on the second night, the researchers tested participants' sleep quality. They were able to focus on the motor cortex and disrupt their deep sleep, thereby investigating the effect of sleeping on a neuroplastic sleep associated with the practice of new movements.

The participants did not know that their deep sleep phase was taken care of. For them, their sleep quality was roughly the same in both cases.

Poor sleep keeps synapses excited, blocks the brain's ability to learn.

Then, the researchers assessed the participants' ability to learn new movements. In the morning, the services of the subjects were top notch, as expected.
However, with advanced today, they continue to make more and more mistakes. Again, it was expected.

After a sleepless night renewed, noted the participants' education systems. But after a night of sleep manipulation, making their education has not improved significantly. In particular, the morning after a sleepless night, manipulative work of the participants was low as the previous evening.

The reason, researchers say, is that during the deep sleep of manipulation, the synapses of muscles do not "relax" as they are usually during sleep reconstructing.

During the day, our synapses in response to stimuli that surround our drawings. During sleep, however, these synapses themselves and recover their activity "units". Without this refreshing time, most synapses are taking too long. This situation hinders the Hnoiroflstiot, ie, learning new things is not possible.

"The most emotional areas of the brain, learning systems saturated and can no longer be changed, which delayed the learning of motor skills," explained Nicole writes the sub-ward and blood, a professor of Health Sciences and Technology at the edge of Zurich.

To ensure that they located the right brain area responsible for deep sleep, the researchers repeated the experiment by assigning the same task but manipulating a different region of the brain.
This did not result in any changes to the participants' performance.
This is the first time that a study has proven the causal connection between deep sleep and learning efficiency.
